- Robert was a barber, then retired from Libby-Owens-Ford. He was an Ottawa Little League and Pony League coach for many years. He was an avid horse racing owner for 55 years and was a member of the United States Harness Association.
Robert was a devoted lifetime member of St. Patrick's Church. He was a loving husband and a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandy; seven children, Terry (Debbie) Einhaus of Ottawa, Lester (Tina) Einhaus of Pontiac, Mike (Lori) Einhaus of Ottawa, Theresa Poundstone of Ottawa, Duane Einhaus of Utica, Tony Einhaus of Ottawa, and Debbie (Ken) Knoll of Ottawa; 17 grandchildren, Cassandra, Austin, Tristina, Jayonah, and Chase Einhaus, Trenton and Alana Einhaus, Marie, Blake, and Adam Poundstone, Rachel, Dean, and Shelby Einhaus, and Payton, Cooper, Bella, and Carson Knoll; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Livy; his brother, Ronald (Janet) Einhaus of Indian Wells, California; and his sister, Patricia Nichols of Tucson, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Ryan Poundstone.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Flower bearers will be his granddaughters.
